    About the Chinese Name

It looks like Chinese put their family name in front of the name.

When I call a Chinese friend, should I call the family name or given name?

I see some people have three characters in their names, but some only two.

Does that mean some Chinese people have middle name some don\'t?

yeah, no middle name in Chinese names. Just Familiy name+Given Name.

And besides family name from their father, they ususally don\'t inherit any character from their elders in the given name.

Usually, for their majority. they have three or two characters in the name, the first charater is always family name, inherited mostly from their father, seldom from mother.

As far as I know, they don\'t have middle name, even the name contains three characters.
