In the new animated movie, Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse, the main character, Miles Morales, runs into Peter Parker, a Spider-Man from a different dimension. Shortly after meeting Peter Parker, Miles accidentally shoots out bio-electric venom, hitting Peter Parker.

I love the next scene.

Instead of showing Peter Parker’s skeleton being electrocuted as in many other movies, Peter’s nervous system is illuminated. This depiction is much more scientifically accurate than the usual cartoon trope of a skeleton.

I love that someone, either a producer, writer, or animator, put effort into making this short scene more accurate.

In The Incredibles, Helen is driving Dash home from school after Dash put a tack on his teacher’s chair.

During this scene, Helen says, “Everybody’s special, Dash,” to which Dash replies with, “Which is another way of saying no one is.”

Later on in the movie, when Syndrome has captured the entire Parr family and is revealing his plan, he says, “And when everyone’s super…no one will be,” essentially copying Helen and Dash’s lines.

I’m pretty sure that almost everyone who watched Avengers: Infinity War missed out this little detail - because it only appears for the blink of an eye.

When Peter Parker, in his old suit, was stuck on the Q-ship of Ebony Maw with Iron Man in hot pursuit, Peter says he can’t breathe. So Tony commands FRIDAY to “unlock 17-A”. This is nothing but an advanced version of the Spider-man suit - probably equipped with life support. The package 17-A is deployed and saves a falling Peter Parker. A few seconds later, the Q-ship goes beyond the Earth’s atmosphere and later Tony loses his radio contact first with Pepper, then with FRIDAY.

Now here is the small but mind-blowing detail: When Tony orders FRIDAY to unlock 17-A, we see a screen on the side of the storage facility that starts a countdown of 1 minute 20 seconds as soon as the package is deployed.

This is actually the exact movie time it takes Tony to lose contact with Earth.

So when FRIDAY receives the command to deploy the package, she measures the velocity and acceleration of the Q-ship to predict the exact amount of time before loss of signal - and makes sure that Peter receives the suit before this time as she won’t be able to remotely steer the package after that. This helps her find out the worst-case scenario and avoid it.

But wouldn’t it make more sense to have a timer that shows the time remaining till the package reached Tony?

Yes, it would. And that’s what Tony has on his face display.

It is indeed a crazy amount of small details Marvel puts in their movies.
