  • NATIVE ENGLISH TEACHER YUCAI NO.2 PRIMARY SCHOOL (JANUARY 2023 – CURRENT)
    I currently teach at a primary school at grade 1 level (after school classes for grade 4 and 6’s) in Shenzhen, China ranging from the ages of 8-13. My teaching at present requires me to focus solely on improving vocabulary, grammar and very importantly, improving students fluency and making students comfortable with speaking the English language. My responsibilities for the grade 4 after school classes include reading and writing their own picture stories to get them more comfortable with English literature. I teach drama to two separate grade 6 classes and these lessons include; conversational English dialogues, monologues, improvised acting and spoken word poetry to assist with conversational English skills.

    At Brilliant English I was teaching at kindergarten level which required me to mostly introduce students to the English language through vocabulary, grammar and writing. My administrative duties included progress reports every week to ensure that there is growth in their knowledge around English.
